MINNESOTA JUDICIAL BRANCH

The winner will earn a six-year term in the state's First Judicial District.
Only five challengers have defeated incumbents for seats in Minnesota's district courts in the past 13 elections, but one Scott County attorney believes he can become the sixth.
Elise Larson, the first woman to hold the position, previously clerked for several high-profile state and federal judges.
The vacancies will occur upon the retirement of Judge Kris H. Davick-Halfen and the resignation of Judge Amber B. Gustafson. These seats will be chambered in St. Cloud in Stearns County and Moorhead in Clay County.
