New York Mills - IAQ Improvements
New York Mills School District ISD# 553 will receive sealed bids for New York Mills - IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Improvements due 2:30 PM, Thursday, February 20th, 2020. Bids will be received by the Superintendent of Schools, Blaine Novak, at New York Mills District Office, 209 Hayes Avenue New York Mills, MN 56567. There is no agent for the receipt of bids other than the Superintendent of Schools. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the time and place specified herein.
All bidders shall meet the requirements as defined under the Responsible Contractor Law, Statutes Section 16C.285.
Bid Packages:
Defined in Section 01 11 00 Summary of Work and Section 01 12 21 Individual Contracts and Work scopes, will consist of:
•Bid Package No. 1 - General Construction
•Bid Package No. 2 - Fire Suppression
•Bid Package No. 3 - HVAC/Plumbing/Controls
•Bid Package No. 4 - Electrical/Communications/Electrical Safety and Security
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Friday, February 14th, 2020 @ 10:00 AM at New York Mills High School Library located at 209 Hayes Avenue New York Mills, MN 56567. If bidders want to visit the physical site, a site review will take place immediately following the pre-bid conference. Attendance is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.
Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the specifications, at the date and time specified. The complete bid form shall be submitted without alterations, additions or erasures. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed and marked "New York Mills - IAQ Improvements", reference what bid package(s) name/number bidding on, the name and address of the bidder, and the date and hour of the opening. Lump sum bids for this work are solicited from contractors specializing in, or highly experienced in this work.
Contractors can obtain a digital copy of bidding documents from ICS consulting Inc., Attn; Nathan Norton (218) 820-7812 or nathan.norton@ics-builds.com or download them from Grand Forks Builders Exchange, St. Cloud Builders Exchange, Fargo-Moorhead Builders Exchange, Minnesota Builders Exchange. Bidding documents will be available for inspection at the Owner's office and the Engineer's office. Bidders are responsible for any and all costs associated with the production of plans and specifications for their use.
Each bid of $10,000 or greater shall be accompanied by a bid bond, or certified or cashier's check in the amount of at least five (5%) percent of the bid amount made payable to New York Mills Schools ISD# 553 as bid security that, if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute the contract and file the required performance and payment bonds within the allotted time period after notice of award of contract.
The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts of bids and waive any formalities or irregularities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening without consent of the Board of Education.
