Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club meeting planned

BAXTER -- The Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter.

This is the annual potluck picnic. The program will be the revealing of the quilts from the Old Magazine Challenge. Bring a dish to share.

Brainerd Legion upcoming events

The Class of 1959 will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, in the Zelinske Hall.

The Legion Riders will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Past Commanders will host a chicken and corn feed (all you can eat corn on the cob) 5 p.m. until gone Wednesday, Aug. 14. Cost is $9.

The special dinner Friday will be prime rib for $15. Walleye dinner is also available for $11.50. Serving begins at 5 p.m.
