Top participants in the Your Energized Year have prize incentives to help motivate them to keep up their efforts to make their health a priority.
Prizes are awarded quarterly to the top five participants.
More than 500 people registered to take part in Your Energized Year classes and the National Diabetes Prevention Program-designed to get people to drink more water, make healthy food choices and get in at least 150 minutes of activity each week. And nearly 300 of those paid $10 to be part of the Your Energized Year challenge, which includes prizes.
At the end of the 16 weeks of classes, prizes will be awarded to the top 10 participants. Those most successful at achieving weight-loss percentages will be awarded at the end of each quarter.
• For the first quarter, ending in March, the top five participants won a shaker water bottle plus $10 in cash.

• As of Friday, another top five participants will get a shaker water bottle and $20 cash.
• On May 13, the top five participants will get the water bottle and $30.
• Finally, on June 10, representing the end of the 16 weeks, 10 people will be recognized with the top five participants getting a percentage of the overall cash based on their placement with the first place getting 40 percent and the fifth place getting 5 percent. For the sixth through 10th place winners: $25 in Chamber Bucks.
• Those who attend all class sessions during the 16 weeks, with no make-up sessions, will have their names entered in a drawing for a free Fitbit Fitness Tracker.
• Participants who achieve a program goal of 5-7 percent weight loss during the 16-week time period will have their names in for a drawing of $50.
• If the participant missed less than five total classes during the post core period-the remainder of the year with monthly sessions after the 16-weekly classes --- and attained the weight-loss goal of 5 percent or more, their name will be placed in a drawing for $50.
• Those who attend all the sessions (with no make-up sessions) for the entire program year, will have their name placed in a drawing to win a Fitbit Fitness Tracker.
