PEQUOT LAKES-Shirley Greves, who writes under the pen name Rosemary Vaughn, will sign copies of her book "Love on the Misty Isles" beginning 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Lakes Latte in Pequot Lakes, during Bean Hole Days.
Books will be available for purchase if readers do not have their own copy.
The book is the author's award-winning debut novel, known to readers as a page-turner with countless twists and turns, according to a news release. It took first place in the romance category in the 2017 Mill City Press Author Awards; and recently placed as a 2018 finalist in the international Next Generation Indie Book Awards in the regional and romance categories.

The author stated "Love on the Misty Isles" is a story about how people can come together as one, regardless of their differences and diverse backgrounds; in other words, there can be unity in diversity. As one reader notes, "It is a novel of three love stories that show us what life is all about. It is about family, friends, loyalty, birth, death, forgiveness and finding purpose for our lives."
Greves was born and raised in Canada and lived for two years on Haida Gwaii before eventually moving to the United States. Her experience living on the islands and as a professor of education at the University of North Dakota bring authenticity and complexity to the novel, the release stated. Greves, a Florida resident, lives in Pequot Lakes during the summer.
