Lakes Jam in Brainerd announced Tuesday that the iconic classic rock band, Boston, will headline the festival on June 27 at Brainerd International Raceway.
Boston will bring their crowd pleasing, high-energy stage show, musicianship and singing to the Lakes Jam stage. Boston prides itself on performing a live show without the use of prerecorded music or technical enhancements, delivering the extraordinary sound that is faithful to their studio recordings.
Boston became an iconic classic rock fixture when they joined the music scene with their self-titled album in 1976. With more than 17 million copies sold, Boston generated hits such as "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind" and "Smokin'" rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today. Their second album, Don't Look Back was another chart-topper that confirmed their place in rock history, followed by Third Stage, which hit No. 1 on the charts, with the top single of 1986, "Amanda." With more than 31 million albums sold to date, Boston has stood the test of time, as evidenced by live audiences that span generations.
Boston will join the already announced rock artists, Head East and Don Felder, who will also play on June 27. Lakes Jam will feature country music on June 25-26, including country artists Lee Brice, Chase Rice, Jerrod Niemann, Chris Janson, along with regional favorite Chris Hawkey.
