After taking a year off because of the pandemic, Lakes Jam 2021 is set in stone to happen.
Lakes Jam — an outdoor music festival that combines country and rock with premier camping — will be four days instead of three this year and is set June 23-26 at Brainerd International Raceway, north of Brainerd.

“Coming back after being off last year has created almost a nervous excitement because it seems like it has been so long since the last Lakes Jam,” Lakes Jam General Manager Ken Lacy stated in a news release. “People are super excited and seem to have an extra bounce in their step when talking about their plans for Lakes Jam in June.

Leading up to Lakes Jam
Lakes Jam organizers founded MINNEJam in 2019 as a fun music event to warm up to the main event. This year’s MINNEJam is scheduled Saturday, June 12, at The Woods off Crow Wing County Highway 3, in rural Brainerd.
Carolyn and Erik Huff of Huff Entertainment Solutions are helping the owners of The Woods, Luke and Terri Ebnet.
“Terri and Luke are very excited to be able to host this second annual tradition after having to halt last year’s plan due to COVID-19,” Carolyn Huff stated in a news release. “It’s fun for the local community to come out and enjoy excellent local Minnesota bands, great food and to get ready for the big party at Lakes Jam — all while participating in some great fundraising efforts for the Smiles For Jake organization.”
Gates open at 3 p.m. with the band BTC to perform on the patio. A bean bag tournament begins at 3:30 p.m. and people are asked to pre-register by calling 218-829-7505. Cost is $10 per team and participants have a chance to win prizes.
