Lakes Jam, an outdoor music festival that unites rock and country music fans, has announced more bands for the upcoming summer jam.
Lakes Jam will be June 23-25, 2016, at Brainerd International Raceway, located north of Brainerd and Baxter on Highway 371. National artists will perform on the main stage and area bands will perform on the secondary stage for the music festival.

Lakes Jam has already announced Toby Keith will be the country headliner June 24 and Styx is the rock-n-roll headliner scheduled to perform June 25. Lakes Jam again promises three days, 15 bands and "one big party."
Bands to perform June 23 are High Valley at 6 p.m.; Locash at 8 p.m.; and Granger Smith at 10 p.m.

Bands to perform June 24 are Chris Hawkey at 4 p.m. and Toby Keith at 10 p.m. Lakes Jam has four more spots yet to be determined for country night.
Bands to perform June 25 are ThundHerStruck at 4 p.m.; Survivor at 6 p.m.; 38 Special at 8 p.m.; and STYX at 10 p.m. Lakes Jam has two more spots yet to be determined for rock night.
More about the newly announced bands:
• High Valley: Canadian country music duo from Blumenort, Alberta. The band is composed of brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel. High Valley has already had much success in Canada: They have won 10 Gospel Music Association Canada Awards and two Canadian Country Music Association Awards. In 2014, their song "Country Line" was selected as a "Highway Find" on Sirius XM's The Highway and the track sky-rocketed to the Top 5. "County Line" also holds the
record as the longest running Top 10 hit on the Canadian country music charts in 2014. In October of 2015, High Valley signed to Atlantic Records Nashville and will release new music in the spring.
• LoCash: Formerly known as LoCash Cowboys, the duo, comprised of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, has had several songs on the Country Top 40 charts including "Here Comes Summer," "Keep in Mind," "The Best Seat in the House" and they have also written hits for other artists including "You Gonna Fly" for Keith Urban and "Truck Yeah" for Tim McGraw. In 2015, they signed with Reviver Records and released the single "I Love This Life" which has already made it to No. 1 on Sirius XM's The Highway and is currently No. 18 and climbing on the Country Billboard charts.
• Granger Smith featuring Earl Dibbles Jr.: Granger Smith is an independent country music artist from Dallas, Texas, who has already released nine albums and has a cult-following, playing sold out shows across the United States on a regular basis. He has achieved an unbelievable following for an independent artist not signed to a major record label including a social media following of more than three million and YouTube views nearing 30 million. Granger has an alter ego names Earl Dibbles Jr., who makes appearances on his albums and during his live shows. His latest release, "Backroad Song," sold more than 32,000 downloads in its first week of release and entered the iTunes Country Singles chart at N. 2, the iTunes Canada Country Chart at Number One and the Billboard Country Digital Sales Chart at No. 4. He recently signed with Broken Bow Records imprint Wheelhouse Records.
• Chris Hawkey: Hawkey is a regional artist from the Twin Cities and is a Lakes Jam favorite, he's performed at every Lakes Jam. To date he has released two solo albums. Prior to going solo in 2014 he was the lead vocalist for the hugely popular Minneapolis band Rocket Club for six years. When Hawkey isn't pursuing his music dream, he can be heard on a different microphone; he's the producer and co-host of the Power Trip Morning Show on KFAN in Minneapoli. It's the number one sports talk show in the Twin Cities and syndicated across the Upper Midwest. He also produces all the Minnesota Vikings radio broadcasts.

• ThunderHerStruck: ThundHerStruck has been dubbed the Ultimate All-Girl Tribute to AC/DC. These five women combine the raw power of AC/DC, with a hard hitting, heart pounding and electrifying performance. ThundHerStruck is returning to Lakes Jam, having played in 2013.
• Survivor: Legendary rock band Survivor is embarking on their next chapter in 2016 with a new member, Cameron Barton, assuming lead vocalist duties. Barton steps into the role of Jimi Jamison, who passed away in September of 2014. Survivor released their first album in 1980. Their first Top-40 on the Hot 100 came the next year with "Poor Man's Son." Their big break would come in 1982 when the band was asked by Sylvester Stallone to provide the theme song for Rocky III. That single, "Eye Of The Tiger," hit No. 1 - staying there for seven weeks, winning a grammy for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal, a People's Choice Award and an Academy Award nomination. Another big song, "Burning Heart," appeared on the soundtrack of Rocky IV in 1985, hitting No. 2 on the singles chart. Additional Billboard Top-20 hits include "I Can't Hold Back," "High On You" and "The Search Is Over."
• 38 Special: After more than three decades together, 38 Special continue to bring their signature blast of southern rock to more than 100 cities a year. With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, "Hold On Loosely," "Rockin' Into the Night," "Caught Up in You," "Fantasy Girl,""If I'd Been the One," "Back Where You Belong," "Chain Lightnin'" and "Second Chance."
