It's an art form that is as old as man has been in existence.
From the remains of Otzi the Ice Man and Egyptian mummies dating back to between 4000 and 3100 B.C. to today, people have been inking their bodies with designs since the beginning.
Those with tattoos tend to have stories behind their ink, no matter how large or small of an area it covers, and the Morrison County Historical Society would like to learn more about them.
The society is creating an exhibit along with several ancillary events and products, and those in the Morrison County area with tattoos are invited to contact the society to share their stories.
Individuals should choose a family-friendly one that has a compelling story, and it will be photographed for an exhibit planned for April. If it is a full-sleeve, back piece or body suit that has a cohesive story, it will be photographed by the society in as much as possible.
