The Stage North Theatre Company presents its upcoming spring production of "Little Shop Of Horrors," which opens March 30 at the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd.
The production will go on stage at 7:30 p.m. March 30-31 and April 1, 6 and 7.
"A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, 'Little Shop Of Horrors' has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for more than 30 years," the company stated in a news release. The meek flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II," after his coworker crush. The production is one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows that has been produced worldwide successfully.
The set is designed and built by Tim Leagjeld of Jenkins and the man-eating plants were designed and built by Randy Herget of the Chaska Valley Family Theatre. These two elements are essential to bringing this story to life, the release stated.
The cast includes residents from Little Falls, Pine River, Pequot Lakes, Baxter and Brainerd.
