NEW YORK MILLS — The Cultural Center in New York Mills presents its Longest Night Music Festival 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 — the first day of winter, known as the longest, and often darkest night of the year.
The annual concert brings together various and varied local and regional musical artists to each play a short set. The spirit of the event is to share in merrymaking and music-making on the winter solstice, a news release stated.
Performing will be Amanda Standalone, Dave Virnala, Ben Ranson, New York Mills Community Band, Bruce Engebretson, Kevin Mastel, Katie Baker and Erik Keranen. These musicians will deliver an array of styles, sounds and vibes sure to please a variety of musical preferences, the news release stated.
Doors for the show will open at 6:30 p.m. This concert is free to attend and all are welcome to this annual night of gratitude, community connections and local live music.
