PEQUOT LAKES-"A Year with Frog and Toad," a story of friendship and adventure, is an enchanting musical for the whole family presented by Pequot Lakes Community Theatre.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. July 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15 and 2 p.m. July 9 in the Pequot Lakes High School Theatre.

The plot follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog played by Michael Sander and the rather grumpy Toad played by Ben Gordon through four, fun-filled seasons. Based on the books by Arnold Lobel the treasured characters leap from page to stage with a hummable score by Robert and Willie Reale. This Broadway hit was nominated for three Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Waking from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The best friends celebrate their differences and uniqueness.
