Brainerd High School Theater Department presents “Almost, Maine,” 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Nov. 22-23; and 2 p.m. Sunday in The Little Theatre at BHS. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for adults.

‘Trumpet Summit’ finale concert

Brainerd High School Music Department presents a Brainerd “Trumpet Summit” finale concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd. The concert is open to the public. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Madrigal Dinner

Brainerd High School Windfall and A Cappella Choir’s Madrigal Dinner, Dec. 5-7, Cragun's Legacy Golf Course Clubhouse. Tickets are $35, plus a service fee and are available online at https://tinyurl.com/uzfnm82 or call 800-838-3006. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.

BCT production coming

Brainerd Community Theatre presents “All My Sons,” written by Arthur Miller, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5-7 and Dec. 12-13; and 2 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College. ‘What the World Needs Now’ concert set

The Legacy Chorale presents “What the World Needs Now” with two concerts. The first is 7:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin, which will feature the Aitkin High School Concert Choir. The second is 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd, which will feature the Brainerd High School Ninth Grade Varsity Choir.

NISSWA

Grassroots Concerts series

Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers to perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar in the Journey Church, next to the Nisswa Elementary School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 with listening attention when accompanied by an adult. Seating is first-come, first-served. For more about Grassroots Concerts go to www.grassrootsconcerts.org . At each concert Grassroots welcomes a nonperishable food or cash donation to the local food shelf.

The Schimpps & The Timbs to perform

The Schimpps & The Timbs will present a Christmas concert at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at Centennial Auditorium in Staples, as part of the Staples Motley Area Arts Council’s regular season. For more information, check out the arts council’s website at www.staplesmotleyarts.org .

Tickets are available online at the arts council’s website; or purchase them by cash or check at the Staples World office or First International Bank and Trust in Motley. They also may be purchased at the door one hour prior to the performance.
