The ninth annual Downtown Golf Outing, 11 a.m. April 18 in downtown Brainerd: American Legion, O'Neary's, Liquor Pigz, Shep's on Sixth, Yesterdays Gone, Last Turn, Iron Rail, VFW, the Elks, Ninth Street Bar, Pit Stop and TJ's Log Cabin. A $5 green fee, with all proceeds going to Kinship Partners.
Final Verse Like Water
The final Verse Like Water event features Marie Howe, the Poet Laureate of New York and top professor at Sarah Lawrence College, noon Wednesday, Chalberg Theater at Central Lakes College.
Children's workshop
Play Off the Page and Central Lakes College Theatre Department will host a children's theatre workshop for grades one through eight in Dryden Theatre. Classes are Thursdays through April 30. Flipside
Flipside for Kids, second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon, cafeteria at Franklin Arts Center. Cost is $3 per child or $5 per family. No child will be turned away. YMCA's 19th annual Charity Ball, April 10, Grand View Lodge. Cost is $75 per person or $750 for reserved table of 10; includes dinner and entertainment.
