Author Event

Minnesota Author Wendy Webb will appear virtually Monday, May 3, for the Brainerd Public Library’s Brown Bag Lunch author visits. Webb will present from noon to 1 p.m. as a live event on the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library Facebook page at bit.ly/3g4nCCb as the library is not hosting in-person events.

Book sale

Friends of the Aitkin Library is hosting its spring used book sale May 7-8 at the Aitkin Library Community Room. The book sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and masks are required.

Children program

Kitchigami Regional Library offers a virtual Legacy program titled “Lalo’s Lunchbox,” at 10 a.m. May 13. No need to register for the program, as people may join through their local library’s Facebook page or Kitchigami’s Facebook page at facebook.com/KRLSLegacy .

Brainerd Community Theatre

Brainerd Community Theatre presents Yasmina Reza’s play “Art,” via livestream at 7 p.m. May 19-22, with a live May 20 performance. Tickets are available through the Central Lakes Community Performing Arts Center’s website at clcperformingarts.com . Patrons should note that COVID-19 protocols are in place for the May 20 in-person performance; seating will be limited. Those purchasing livestream tickets should make note of the fact that this is not an on-demand event.
