Guided night hike at Mount Ski Gull in Nisswa
Enjoy a guided night hike from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, on Mount Ski Gull property in Nisswa.
The family-friendly activity will include stops for fun educational night activities. Topics may include: using your senses at night, nocturnal animals, predators/prey, astronomy and more. The hike is about a mile or 90 minutes with stops for activities and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Grown Up Book Fair at Jack Pine Brewery in Baxter

Friends of the Brainerd Public Library will have a Grown Up Book Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Jack Pine Brewery in Baxter.
The event will feature novels, fiction and nonfiction and more with all book sales benefiting the Brainerd Public Library. And $1 from every pine will also be donated to the library.
Aitkin to host Harvest Moon Brew Fest
The eighth annual Harvest Moon Brew Fest will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, in downtown Aitkin on Minnesota Avenue between Northwest Third and Northwest Fourth streets.
Hosted by Glacial Lakes Brewers, the event will feature 18-plus craft regional brewers and distillers, and food and live music. VIP ticket holders will have access to the fest from 2-3 p.m. to sample special brews and chat with the brewers. A designated driver option is also available.
