The Stage North Theatre Company will present Ten November to commemorate the 40 year anniversary of the tragic sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. Performances will be at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd.

The Company will perform the musical tribute to the 29 lives that were lost on the Fitzgerald.
In a press release from the Stage North director, Gary Hirsch, he said, "Most people will say that the Edmund Fitzgerald only sank once on Nov. 10, 1975. Unbeknownst to most people, there was another Fitzgerald that met a similar fate on Nov. 14, 1883. The Schooner E. Fitzgerald (EdmOnd versus EdmUnd) was built in 1870 and after a short 13-year career and under the command of Captain Langan, was making a trip across Lake Erie with a load of wheat on Nov. 14, 1883, and encountered a severe snow storm and ran aground near Long Point Ontario and sank with all hands lost of seven to nine crew members. Believe it or not, the two Fitzgeralds were actually related. Edmond Fitzgerald was a great-uncle to Edmund Fitzgerald.
