The Stage North Theatre Company presents the hilarious summer production of "The 39 Steps," which opens at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Franklin Art Center in Brainerd.
The play also will be performed at 7:30 p.m. June 30 and July 1-2.
"If you mix an Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel and add dash of Monty Python, you have 'The 39 Steps,' a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre," organizers of the event stated in a news release. "This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award winning show is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters, an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance."
This family friendly production features Eric Boyles, Ryan Deblock, Liz Davies, Jenny Kiffmeyer and Mike Paulus playing all the roles. There are many costume changes and some of them need to be done onstage.
Tickets are available online at www.stagenorththeater.com , at the door or by calling the ticket hotline at 218-232- 6810. Adults are $10, seniors are $9 and children under 12 are $5.
