SWCD announces winners of 9th annual photo contest

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District invited photographers of all ages and abilities to submit their photos for the 2021 Native Plant and Tree Photo Contest due in October.

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District recently announced the winners of its ninth annual photography contest.

Photographers of all ages and abilities were invited to submit their photos for the 2021 Native Plant and Tree Photo Contest.

Kate Stephany placed first in the contest with her photo of a Joe-Pye weed. She will receive a 20-by-16-inch canvas of her photo. Courtney Neifert took second with a picture of blue vervain and Jennifer Quam placed third with a photo of a prairie blazing star.

All the contest entries can be found on the district’s Facebook page, website at www.cwswcd.org , and potentially other educational or promotional items for the district.

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District featured the 2020 photo contest winners in the district’s 2021 county plat books.
