Red Sky Productions, known throughout the world for its innovative production style, will present "Mistatim," an intercultural story that combines dance, theater, mask, storytelling and music, on Jan. 25 in the Chalberg Theatre at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

As part of the Central Lakes Community Performing Arts Center's Cultural Arts Series, "Mistatim" will perform twice, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Series Director Patrick Spradlin called the event one for the entire family.

"Given our geographic location and cross-cultural mix of peoples here, I was particularly excited about being able to bring this group here," Spradlin stated in a news release. "This is a show that both kids and their parents will find appealing, if not for the message of the play, then for the presentational style."

"Mistatim" is about the taming of a wild horse and the forging of the truest of friendships. Under a prairie sky, a simple wooden fence is all that separates Calvin on his ranch and Speck on her reservation, but in many ways they are worlds apart, that is until a wild horse named "Mistatim" turns their worlds upside down.
