This week at Trinity

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has scheduled two worship services for this week.

On Wednesday, April 14, there will be a worship evening service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching. Holy Communion will be served.

On Sunday, there will be a worship service at 9 a.m. with Pastor Paul Erdal preaching and Holy Communion will be served. This service is live on KVBR Radio 1350 and livestreamed on YouTube.

Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

Intern Matthew Engum will be hosting a book study on “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. The class will meet in the choir room at 10 a.m.

“Drive Up Blessing and Holy Communion” will be available in the parking lot at door 2 from 10:15-10:45 a.m.

Sons of Norway will meet 7 p.m. Thursday in the sanctuary.

Masks are required as to state regulations along with social distancing. Enter at door 2.

Brainerd Lakes Area Sex Trafficking Task Force to make presentation

BACKUS — Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 603 State Highway 371, Backus, is hosting a presentation at 1 p.m. April 27 from information gathered from the Brainerd Lakes Area Sex Trafficking Task Force. Human trafficking is a growing public health concern throughout the United States and Minnesota is not exempt.

The presentation will include information on current trends, language and what to be aware of.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church services

On Sunday, April 18, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 Eighth Ave., Brainerd, will celebrate the third Sunday of Easter with a drive-in service with communion at 8:45 a.m. Pastor Mark Skinner will be preaching. Arrive early, stay in the car and park in the designated lot.

Sunday school will meet in-person on Sunday at 9:45 am. Masks will be worn. Social distancing will be practiced.

We now offer in-person worship services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Masks will be worn. Social distancing will be practiced. Space is limited so preregistering is required at www.belcnet.net or by calling the office at 218-829-3330 by noon Friday. The church will continue to livestream the 10:30 a.m. services on Sundays at www.facebook.com/bethlehem.brainerd . The service will be on www.belcnet.net after its completion for later viewing.

Lutheran Church of the Cross of Nisswa services

On Sunday, April 18, drive-thru Communion will be in the front parking lot from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Enter from the west entrance and watch for signs/staff directions.

In-person worship services are in the Celebration Center on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 6:20 p.m. Services can be viewed via streaming video at lccnisswa.org (live and archived) and live on the Lutheran Church of the Cross-Nisswa Facebook page.

First Lutheran Church events

First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will celebrate the Third Sunday of Easter with Now the Feast Liturgy and Holy Communion at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 18, with Pastor Patty Bjorklund delivering the sermon.

The in-person worship service will also be broadcast to the church parking lot, YouTube and online. For more information, visit www.flcbrainerd.com .

For those planning to attend the 9:30 a.m. parking lot service, the church parking lot extends from the north side of Anderson Cleaners to Maple Street and from South Eighth Street to The Office Shop. Tune the radio to 97.7 FM.

There will be no Wednesday service April 21.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church to reopen for services

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 408 N. Seventh St., Brainerd, is reopening for services at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 18. Masks are required.
