Bethlehem Lutheran Church services
On Sunday, Aug. 29, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 Eighth Ave. NE, Brainerd, will celebrate the 14th Sunday of Pentecost with a drive-in service at 8:45 a.m. Pastor Sarah Marshall will be preaching.
In-person church services will be 10 a.m. Sunday and will continue to be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/bethlehem.brainerd . The service will be put on www.belcnet.net after its completion for later viewing.
Music with a message at South Long Lake Church
Ron Brusven will provide music with a message at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, followed by coffee fellowship and treats from 10:30-11 a.m. at South Long Lake Church.

First Lutheran Church activities planned
First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will celebrate the 14th Sunday after Pentecost with worship in the sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29. The Liturgy will be God Give Us Life. Pastor Patty Bjorklund will preach and preside.

Due to the latest significant outbreak of the COVID delta variant in Crow Wing County and out of care and concern for children and the medically vulnerable, the Church Council has voted to the return of requiring face coverings during indoor worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings at all times effective immediately.
Coffee fellowship will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Koinonia Hall.
The 9:30 a.m. worship service will be broadcast on YouTube.

Summer gospel concert set
MALMO — Malmo Free Church will present Jim Lee in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28.
Lee has been singing since he was 2 years old, and as a ministry to the Lord since the ‘80s. He is known for his delivery of country-flavored gospel music.
Come as you are and bring a lawn chair to enjoy Malmo Church’s 26th year of music in the outdoors. In case of rain, the concert will be inside the air-conditioned church.
Lord of Life to welcome new members
BAXTER — Lord of Life Lutheran Church of Baxter invites people to join them at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, for the induction of new members.

During these services, Lord of Life will recognize eight individuals who recently completed all the requirements to become new members.
In addition, Lord of Life will celebrate a number of people who joined during COVID, when the church was unable to celebrate in person.
Lord of Life is always open to welcoming new members of its faith family.

This week at Trinity
Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, has scheduled two worship services for this week.
On Wednesday, Aug. 25, there will be an indoor worship evening service at 6 p.m. with Paul Erdal preaching. Holy Communion will be served.
On Sunday, Aug. 29, there will be an indoor worship service at 9 a.m. with Pastor Hans Anderson preaching and Holy Communion will be served. This service is live on KVBR 1340 Radio and livestreamed.
Annual bazaar planned Sept. 5
HARDING -- Holy Cross Church will have its annual bazaar on Sept. 5.

It starts with a Polka mass at 10 a.m. A chicken and ham dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost for the dinner will be $10, adults; children under 12, $4; and children 5 and under are free.
Entertainment all afternoon by Dale Dahmen and the Polka Beats and Old Tyme Country Boys (formerly the Waltzateer Band). There will be entertainment for the children. Hamburgers, pop and ice cream served all afternoon and evening.
A silent auction will be from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Gun raffle drawing will start at 2 p.m.
