Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina planned
LITTLE FALLS — The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls extend an invitation to you to join them for Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading) 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Gathering Space at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls.
Centering Prayer is an ancient and contemporary form of prayer. It is a way of deepening a relationship with God as well as a discipline to foster that relationship. It is a movement beyond conversation with God to communion with God. In a small group, we sit in silent prayer for 20-30 minutes with openness to God’s presence and action in our lives.
Centering Prayer is preceded by “Lectio Divina,” a reflection on the coming Sunday Scriptures. Join us on the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m., as we gather with sisters and members of all faiths to ponder God’s presence in our lives and open ourselves to receive the gift of a closer union with God.
No need to pre-register.
