Lutheran Church of the Cross Community Garden plots still available for summer 2012
The Lutheran Church of the Cross Creation Care Team, who is the governing board for the LCC Community Garden, would like to thank the community for their positive response to this project. Those who participated in the first year of gardening in the LCC Community Garden, Summer 2011, have expressed excitement about this opportunity to garden with others and have expressed appreciation for this addition to our community. They also have been enthused about the produce production from their plot. The garden has raised beds with cedar sides, scientifically mixed soil, fertilizer, and water to make the gardening experience a success.
We currently are planning for the 2012 gardening season. Many of the 56 plots have already been spoken for, however, there are still some plots available. We will be taking requests until Nov. 15 from those who would like to rent one of the available plots and garden with us next summer. The annual rental fee is $20. For more information or to obtain an application for a plot contact Emelie Augustine at 963-3548 or
