First Lutheran Church events

On Sunday, April 21, First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, will have Easter services with Holy Communion at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with Pastor John Stiles presiding at both services.

The youths will serve an egg bake breakfast with muffins, fruit, juice and coffee, from 9 a.m. until gone. Cost is $4 per person. Proceeds will go toward youth camperships and a mission trip. There will be Bible study at 9 a.m. Easter Sunday.

On Wednesday, April 24, there will be a meal at 5 p.m and worship at 5:30 p.m. The youths will gather at 6:30 p.m. to attend the BAY Rally and return to church for pickup between 8-8:30 p.m.

On Friday, April 26, the Red Cross will have a blood drive 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Koinonia Hall at First Lutheran Church. Game night will follow from 6-9 p.m. in the Koinonia Hall that same day. Bring a friend, a game and an appetizer to share.

Earth Day prayer service set

LITTLE FALLS—The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls will have an Earth Day Prayer Service 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in St. Francis Hall at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls.

Speaker at South Long Lake Church

Pastor Mark Bosserman will speak at the Easter service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21, at 13152 Smart Road, Brainerd.

No April concert for Shadow of the Cross

Shadow of the Cross will not have a concert in April.

Easter services scheduled at Trinity

Three services are planned for Easter Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd.

Pastor Hans Anderson will preach at all three services on the theme, "You Are Called By Name."

The Sunrise Service with Holy Communion will start at 6:30 a.m. in the Scattering Garden and then proceed into the church to continue the service.

Sue Scheel will provide special music.

There will be two Festival Traditional Worship Services with Holy Communion at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Special music will be provided by the TLC Singers and the Trinity Brass Ensemble.

An Easter pancake breakfast will be 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall served by the Trinity youths to raise funds for their summer mission trip this summer. A freewill offering will be taken.

Bethel Lutheran Church events

Bethel Lutheran will celebrate Good Friday, April 19, with a Tenebrae worship service beginning at 8 p.m. and led by Pastor Jeff Macejkovic.

Easter Sunday Traditional Festival Service will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 21, and Macejkovic will lead the service.

Christ Lutheran Church events

Christ Lutheran Church and Little Lambs Preschool, 13815 Cherrywood Drive, Baxter, will have a Good Friday service 7 p.m. April 19 with the theme of "It is Finished."

On Easter, April 21, there will be two services, a sunrise service at 7 a.m. and a Festival Service at 9 a.m. The Easter theme is "A new day Dawns."

Lutheran Church of the Cross spring rummage sale set

NISSWA—Lutheran Church of the Cross will have its spring rummage sale April 26-27.

Rummage sale hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27, rain or shine.

Special events for our guests during the 2019 spring sale include The LCC Bistro with coffee and doughnuts available for purchase Friday morning, a silent auction, an enlarged jewelry nook and outdoor area and more.

No early sales.

Mother-daughter banquet set

PEQUOT LAKES—Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes, will have a mother-daughter banquet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.

There will be special music, devotions and door prizes.

Cost: adults: $8; children, 6-12, $4; 5 and younger, free.

Easter services planned for The Church On The Wise Road

A Good Friday service will be 6 p.m. Friday, April 19, at The Church On The Wise Road, 10345 Wise Road, Brainerd.

An Easter Sunday service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21.

Easter pancakes to be served

PEQUOT LAKES—The youths of Grace United Methodist Church, Pequot Lakes, will serve an Easter breakfast of pancakes, eggs, fruit and sausage 7-8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21.

The youths will be collecting a freewill offering at the door with proceeds assisting a summer trip to the National UMC Youth Gathering in Kansas City, Mo., and to KoWakan Adventures Camp near Ely.

Motley United Methodist Church spring chicken dinner planned

MOTLEY—The Motley United Methodist Church will have its annual spring chicken dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.

Adults: $10; 6-12, $5; and 5 and younger, free.

Wycliffe Associates banquet set

BAXTER—The Brainerd community is invited to a Wycliffe Associates banquet 7 p.m. April 30 at Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes, 6967 Forest Road, Baxter.
