Pine River Methodist Church to have in-person church
PINE RIVER — The Pine River Methodist Church will have in-person church services beginning 10:30 a.m. Sundays.
The church congregation wear masks and practice social distancing.
On Easter Sunday, the church will once again be "blooming" the cross as part of the service. This tradition began several years ago with various flower shops generously donating cut flowers.
Members trim the flowers to get them ready to be added to the prepared wired cross. This symbol of Christ's resurrection is then placed out in front of the church for others to enjoy.
First Lutheran Church events for Holy week
First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will have all Holy Week services available online at flcbrainerd.com, in-person and in the parking lot which extends from the north side of Anderson Cleaners to Maple Street and from South Eight Street to The Office Shop. For the parking lot service, tune the radio to 97.7 FM.
For Palm Sunday, March 28, worship with palms will be 9:30 a.m. Strict COVID-19 protocol will be enforced. Masks are required as well as spacing of worshippers. Use of hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the church is mandatory. Reservations needed.
For Maundy Thursday on April 1, weather permitting, there will be a drive-up Communion and blessing offered from noon to 1 p.m. Enter the parking lot at the South Eight Street entrance and follow signs. No reservations needed for this service. There will be a 6 p.m. worship service with Communion and the stripping of the altar. Reservations recommended.
Good Friday, April 2, services will be 6 p.m. for a Tenebrae service with limited seating so reservations are recommended.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church events
On Sunday, March 28, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 Eighth Ave. NE, Brainerd, will celebrate Palm Sunday with a drive-in service with communion at 8:45 a.m.
Arrive early, stay in the car and park in the designated lot.
Sunday school will meet in person on Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Temperatures will be checked upon entry. Masks will be worn. Social distancing will be practiced. Contact Pastor Sarah for more information.

Bethel Lutheran to return to in-person worship
Bethel Lutheran will return to in person worship 9 a.m. Sunday, March 28. Minister Ruth Jeramiason-Jensen will lead the Palm Sunday service. Those attending will be required to wear masks, social distance and register by Thursday with Jerry at 218-831-9543. Online worship will be available for those who wish to continue worshiping from home.
Good Friday services will also be in person at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Macejkovic leading the service. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
This week at Trinity
Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, will be having an indoor Lenten service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, featuring the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy.
Pastor Paul Erdahl will be preaching on “The Gift of Going for a Walk” as part of the Lenten theme, ”Re-Creation: What Gives You Life?” Following the services those who pre-ordered the soup to go may pick them up in the Gathering Area.
There will be one Sunday service at 9 a.m. March 28 with Holy Communion being served with intern Matthew Engum preaching. The Sunday service will be broadcast live on KVBR 1340 and livestreamed on YouTube and posted on Facebook and on the Trinity website.
There will be a drive-up blessing and Holy Communion from 10:15-10:45 a.m. Sunday.
This will be the final Sunday to contribute to the March Food Drive for the Salvation Army.

Lutheran Church of the Cross of Nisswa news
NISSWA — Lutheran Church of the Cross, 5064 County Highway 13, Nisswa, will have worship at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday evenings and 9 a.m. Sundays, both in person in the Celebration Center. The church has Cross Kids worship at 9 a.m. Sundays in the sanctuary for preschool through sixth graders. Face coverings must be worn and social distancing will be practiced.
For those wishing to worship at home, there are two options for online worship: streaming video at lccnisswa.org (live and archived) and live on the Lutheran Church of the Cross-Nisswa Facebook page. Bulletins for all services may be downloaded from the website.
