The service at 10 a.m. Sunday will include special music and a message delivered by the Rev. Amy Odgren, bishop of the Northeast Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

The Bethany congregation voted in 2007 to build a new church building at a location just south of Cushing on Morrison County Road 11. Pastor Carl Larson has served as Bethany’s pastor for the past two years. In September, he is being joined by Pastor Chris Mathiason as associate pastor. The two pastors serve both Bethany and Faith Lutheran Church of Staples.
