Lutheran Church of the Cross of Nisswa to present organ concert

NISSWA — The Christmas in November organ concert presented by Cathy Taylor and Laura Raedeke will be 7 p.m. Nov. 19 in the sanctuary.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church events

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 Eighth Ave. NE, Brainerd, will celebrate the 25th Sunday after Pentecost with in-person services at 8:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 14.

Pastor Sarah Marshall will be preaching. Sunday School kids will sing at both services. Bell Choir will ring at both services. We continue to livestream the 10:30 a.m. services Sundays at www.facebook.com/bethlehem.brainerd. The service will be put on www.belcnet.net after its completion for later viewing. Sunday School will begin at 9:25 a.m. Sunday.

First Lutheran Church events

First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will celebrate the 25th Sunday after Pentecost and Faith Promise Sunday with a 9 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary and online Sunday, Nov. 14.

First Congregational United Church of Christ services planned

The Sunday, Nov. 14, worship services for First Congregational United Church of Christ are 10 a.m. in-person at 415 Juniper St., Brainerd, and online at www.facebook.com/uccbrainerd.

Choir practice meets at 8:30 a.m. the first three Sundays of the month. Many more voices are welcome.

Paint the Walls Party will be noon Sunday, Nov. 14, to spruce up walls in the hallways. Helpers can respond to dgrose@charter.net.

Trinity to have annual fall boutique and bake sale

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, will have its annual fall boutique and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13.

The fall boutique will feature “You Betcha Corner,” Granny’s Pantry, Cabin Fever, Holiday Inspirations, Attic Treasures and bake sale with lefse and Scandinavian goodies. Caramel rolls and beverages will be served throughout the sale with a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Doug's Trinity Cafe.

Advent Day of Reflection set for Dec. 4

LITTLE FALLS — The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invites people to virtually attend an Advent Day of Reflection entitled “Receiving Life as a Gift,” through Zoom 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 4.

Presenter Sister Elise Saggau, OSF, has many years of experience in education and Franciscan formation. She was editor of The Cord, an international Franciscan spiritual review, and also served as assistant director of publications at the Franciscan Institute, St. Bonaventure, New York. Sister Elise now writes and gives talks, especially on Franciscan spirituality.

Turkey bingo planned in Harding

HARDING — Turkey bingo will be played at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Holy Cross Church in Harding.

Cost is $5 for 20 games. Soft cards are $1 and the winner will receive $25. Blackout will be $1 a card and the winner will receive $25. They will be doing a split the pot where the winner receives half the pot. A free lunch will be served and refreshments will be for sale including candy, popcorn and pop.
