EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. — A food writer and Food Network star based here is teaming up with grocery distributor SpartanNash, owner of Family Fare, Sun Mart and other regional grocery stores, for some holiday recipes.

Molly Yeh will feature recipes on her blog, http://mynameisyeh.com, using ingredients from the Our Family line of foods.

In a news release from SpartanNash, the home cook says she’s been a fan of Our Family for years, singling out the brand's cheeses as a favorite.

“The ingredients are reliable and consistent, and the name ‘Our Family’ is just so darn lovable,” she said.

“Molly brings a joy of cooking and baking into her kitchen, and by featuring Our Family products in her recipes, she can also offer delicious, budget-friendly dishes for her fans to enjoy,” said John Paul, SpartanNash Vice President, Private Brands.

A native of Chicago, Yeh’s cooking is influenced by her Chinese father and Jewish mother. She met her husband, Nick Hagen, while they were both studying music at The Juilliard School in New York. They returned to his family’s land near East Grand Forks where he farms and she films her Food Network show, “Girl Meets Farm.” In November, she announced they are expecting their first child in March.

Yeh’s recipes for pizza bourekas and caramel apple cake with cream cheese frosting, both using Our Family ingredients, are now on her website, with more to come.
