Trixie's 60 Halloween celebration planned
NISSWA—Trixie will be hosting Trixie's "60" Halloween Celebration from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Community Church in Nisswa.
Games, food, fellowship and candy are all a part of the plan.
Brainerd Lakes Area Ministerial Association to meet
On Tuesday, the Brainerd Lakes Area Ministerial Association will meet over breakfast from 8-9 a.m. at the Sawmill Inn, 601 Washington St., Brainerd.
The purpose for gathering will be to encourage, support and pray for one another. The fellowship together will allow us to get to know each other personally. This will produce the added benefits of mutual trust and respect among our colleagues. Since the Ministerial Association is a network of professional clergy which crosses all denominational lines, all area pastors are invited.
Trunk or treat set for Tuesday
BAXTER—A Trunk or Treat event will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Baxter.
Families are invited for both inside and outside activities at the corner of Inglewood Drive and Cherrywood Drive, just north of Highway 210 in Baxter.

Trinity to celebrate the Rite of Confirmation
Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, will be celebrating the Rite of Confirmation on Reformation at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service with nine young people participating.
Also, there will be a service at 8:15 a.m. Pastor David Holte will be preaching at both services with Holy Communion being served. The Education and Coffee Hour will be between services
Wednesday evening services are 6 p.m. The services are 30 minutes with Holy Communion served. A meal is served beginning at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Pizza and movie night planned
GARRISON—Light of the Cross Lutheran Church of Garrison is having pizza and a movie night at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27.
The feature movie is "Luther," which is relevant today as we recognize and celebrate the 500th Anniversary of "The Reformation."
Cost is $5 donation for the pizza.
Ludemann to lead service
Pastor Don Ludemann will lead the Reformation Sunday service beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday and will confirm those who have completed the two-year course.
The celebration will continue following the service as cake and coffee will be served in their honor.
The youths of the church plan to have a rummage sale 10 a.m. Nov. 4.
Bluegrass concert at Crosslake Assembly of God
CROSSLAKE—The monthly bluegrass concert will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Crosslake Christian Assembly of God Church.
Hymns will be shared on a variety of musical instruments, including the guitar, banjo, mandolin and violin.

Advancing Bible translation in areas of persecution
The Brainerd community is invited to a Wycliffe Associates banquet at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes, 6967 Lake Forest Road, Baxter, where banquet guests will hear how God is working in areas of persecution to advance Bible translation faster than ever before.

Wycliffe Associates anticipates that in 2017, more Bible translations will be launched in new languages than ever before. The organization has set a goal of placing 5,000 computer tablets, at a cost of $300 each, in the hands of translators to launch 400 new Bible translations in the coming year.
Turkey Bingo planned
HARDING—Holy Cross Church in Harding will have turkey Bingo beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Cost: $5 for 20 games. They will sell soft cards during the sets with the winner to receive $25. Blackout at the end of the game for $1 a card. A free lunch will be served.
Bingo is sponsored by the Rosary Sodality.
Sacred Heart Church pork loin and chicken dinner set for Sunday
STAPLES—Sacred Heart Church in Staples will have a pork loin and chicken dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
At the Sacred Heart School, there will be bingo at noon, produce, bake sale, plant sale and prize drawing for raffle prizes.
Tickets at the door will be $10, adults; ages 6-12, $5; children under 5 are free.
Note: Mass time change to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Deer hunters' dinner
PINE RIVER—Maple Hill Lutheran Church in Pine River will host its Fall and Deer Hunters' Dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 4, on opening day of deer hunting.
The dinner will consist of meatloaf, real mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, salad, rolls, beverage and pie.
Everyone - hunters and non-hunters - is invited.
A free will donation will be accepted. The proceeds will be used for the installation of the new magnetic door switches in the church's elevator.
