Join us for the eighth annual Crow Wing Energized Health and Wellness Summit Friday, March 5 from 8:30-11 a.m.
Unlike previous year’s, we are going virtual in 2021! Join us for an optional coffee chat event from 8:30-9 a.m. Local community health care leaders will discuss COVID-19. Kyle Bauer from Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Dr. Pete Henry from Essentia Health, Tim Rice from Lakewood Health System, and Tim Houle from Crow Wing County will be answering questions on the current pandemic, as well as answering some of your questions!
Dr. Nanette Negri will be leading discussions on the importance of well-being for yourself and others. Dr. Negri will explore a variety of practices in mindfulness and meditation that can enhance well-being. By participating in this event, you can expect to:
Be able to define the four components of well-being,
Be able to identify activities related to the skills that build each of the constituents of well-being,
Identify a set of those skill-building activities/experiences that will allow you to take these practices into your everyday living and to others you support and care for in your work and lives.
The Crow Wing Energized team will share the strategic plans for 2021 and how you can be involved in “making the healthy choice the easy choice.” A few of the takeaways from the event will include making a lifestyle change through using a habit tracker, learning about outdoor winter activities in our community, and how to contribute to the sustainability of Crow Wing Energized.
The community will also learn which vegetable of the year will be highlighted in 2021. There is still time to make your vote count for the One Vegetable, One Community vegetable at bit.ly/37y39Rf.
Through the generosity of community partners, there will be prizes given out at the end of the event for those who participate. So, make sure to stay to the end for the chance to win!
