Sleep. It is like air and water. Without it people would die.
Yet many Americans take it for granted. The importance of sleep and its effect on the mental and emotional well-being should not be underestimated, Crow Wing Energized reported. A free presentation — Sleep: why it matters and how to improve it will be given by Beatrice Comty-Charnock from noon to 12:30 p.m. April 21.
Comty-Charnock is a licensed marriage and family therapist and drug and alcohol counselor in Brainerd. She has been a member of the Crow Wing Energized Mental Fitness Goal Group since 2015 and is the former co-chair of the “Attitude of Gratitude” subcommittee, former co-chair of the “Sleep Hygiene” subcommittee, and an instructor for Crow Wing Energized’s Lifestyle Change program. Comty-Charnock incorporates a holistic approach to therapy — focusing on mind, body, and spirit — to help her clients achieve their goals.
