Installed by Past Sixth District Commander Jim Lucas were Trustee Fay "Geno" Frederick, Chaplain Ron Wedin, Trustee Kevin Zwack, Commander Rob Arkulary, Trustee Roger Jaycox, Sergeant-at Arms Jim Marold, Second Vice Don Sather, First Vice and Membership Rob Albrecht, Adjutant Scott Felton, Service Officer Rodney Damm and Finance Dave Poe.

Also installed was Trustee Dick Buche.

Senior dance planned

WAUKENABO — A senior dance will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Waukenabo Town Hall with music by Two for the Road.

Crow Wing County Genealogical Society meeting set for Thursday

BRAINERD — The Crow Wing County Genealogical Society will meet 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Family History Center, 101 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd.


This meeting is for research and as a social gathering open to the public. Several members will be present to assist research. Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend.

BRAINERD — The Brainerd Legion will have a breakfast buffet 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 24.

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

BAXTER — The Brainerd Lakes Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group meeting will be 1 p.m. Aug. 4, at Lord of Life Church, 6190 Fairview Drive, Baxter.


A round table discussion will be utilized to share questions and information with each other.

Auxiliary members honored

BRAINERD — The Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary recently honored 15 women who have been members of the Auxiliary for more than 50 years.

A light luncheon was served and certificates with years of service were handed out.

Each member also received a gift certificate for a meal in appreciation of their service.
