BAXTER — A 20-year-old woman had minor injuries Thursday, June 25, following a rear-end collision involving five vehicles in Baxter.

The Baxter Police Department reported a Ford truck was following a Pontiac Firebird too closely at highways 210 and 371, causing the truck to rear-end it and causing three more vehicles — a Subaru, a Dodge Durango and a Chevrolet Silverado — to crash.

The 20-year-old driver of the Subaru, Carissa M. Sorenson-Anderson of Esko, was transported by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated for minor injuries.

The other drivers, Glenn D. Wolf, 59, Brainerd; Logan R. Hines, 18, Brainerd; Chelly M. Hagen, 54, Cooperstown, North Dakota; and Laurie L. Tondryk, 44, Duluth, were not injured.

Wolf, who was driving the Ford truck, was cited for following too close, police reported.
