ROSEMOUNT - A Burnsville 17-year-old is dead and three other teenagers injured after the SUV they were in lost control, crossed into the median and flipped south of Rosemount on Wednesday night.
Passenger Ty G. Alyea, 17, was ejected and killed when the northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee he was in lost control and flipped into the southbound lanes of U.S. 52 near 180th Street shortly before 10 p.m., the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
Also thrown from the SUV and seriously injured was passenger Cole A. Borchardt, 18, of Burnsville. Neither was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
Borchardt was sent to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. His condition was unknown Thursday.
Tylan A. Procko, 17, and driver Matthew G. Berger, 17, suffered injuries not considered to be life threatening. They were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.

Alcohol was not detected on any of the SUV's occupants, according to the patrol.
