A Crow Wing County Jail inmate found unresponsive inside his jail cell the night of Saturday, May 4, died the next day at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard reported in a news release the inmate, Kobe Eugene Marcell, 18, was found unresponsive inside his cell at 10:53 p.m. Deputies and jail staff provided medical assistance at the jail until Marcell was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
According to Marcell's obituary, he died Sunday.
Marcell was originally booked into the Crow Wing County Jail on May 1, for a probation violation warrant after being arrested in Wadena County.
Sheriff Goddard stated this case is actively being investigated and his office is awaiting the final
