2 injured in 2-vehicle crash

Two teenagers were hurt Friday after their vehicle was struck by another at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 270th Avenue and 133rd Street, Pierz Township.

Two teenagers were hurt Friday after their vehicle was struck by another at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 270th Avenue and 133rd Street, Pierz Township.

According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, a 17-year-old Pierz boy and his 13-year-old passenger, also from Pierz, were driving on 270th Avenue when their vehicle was struck by another vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Shawn Hoheisel, of Pierz.

Hoheisel was not injured. The 17-year-old was flown from the scene to the St. Cloud Hospital. The 13-year-old was taken by ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and all occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the sheriff’s office.
