WRIGHT-Two people were injured Tuesday when the Chevrolet Silverado they were in had contact with a Ford truck that was attempting to pass them on Highway 210 near Wright in Aitkin County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported both trucks were eastbound on Highway 210, when the Ford attempted to pass the Chevy and the trucks made contact. The Chevy left the roadway and rolled into the south ditch and the Ford left the roadway and rolled into the north ditch. The state patrol stated the roads were icy and slushy at the time of the crash at 10:48 p.m.
The driver of the Chevy, Mary S. Anderson, 48, and her passenger Vincent E. Merrill, 51, both of McGregor, had non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Riverwood Hospital in Aitkin.
The driver of the Ford, Kristy A. Schleski, 25, South Range, Wis., and her passenger, Andrea R. Jorgenson, 43, Duluth, had no apparent injuries.
The Aitkin County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
