A two-truck crash on Highway 18 east of Brainerd Thursday afternoon injured the drivers of the two vehicles.
A 1983 GMC pickup truck, driven by Frank E. Robinson, 91, Isle, was stopped at 2:43 p.m. Thursday on the westbound shoulder of Highway 18 about 6 miles east of Brainerd, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. He began to turn left from the shoulder when he was struck broadside by a 2016 Kenworth dump truck being driven by Ellen K. Mailhot, 55, Crosby.
Mailhot received non-life threatening injuries from the crash but was not transported to a hospital. Robinson received non-life threatening injuries from the crash and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital from the scene.
The Kenworth dump truck was an Anderson Brothers Construction truck and received moderate damage. The GMC pickup truck was totaled.
