BAXTER-A 33-year-old woman had minor injuries following a crash reported at 10:14 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 371 and Pine Beach Road, north of Baxter.
The Baxter Police Department reported a vehicle driven by Marilyn Jean Wottreng, 69, Brainerd, was making a left turn from Pine Beach Road onto Highway 371 to travel north. A second vehicle driven by Kezia Betsy Killion Smith, 33, North Mankato, was traveling westbound from Wise Road across Highway 371, towards Pine Beach Road when the two vehicles collided in the intersection, police stated.
Smith was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Police stated Wottreng did not see Smith's vehicle and Smith was issued a citation for failing to yield.
