2-vehicle crash at Baxter intersection injures 1

One of the drivers admited to failing to stop at a red light, causing the crash, police reports stated.

BAXTER — A 30-year-old Brainerd woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at the intersection of College Road and Highland Scenic Road in Baxter.

The crash involved a Ford Edge driven by Brittany J. Frederick, 30, Brainerd, and a Lincoln Sports Utility Vehicle driven by Stephanie R. Shook, 48, Baxter. The Edge was traveling west on College Road and the Lincoln was traveling north on Highland Scenic Road, when the crash occurred at the intersection. Frederick admitted to failing to stop at the red light, the Baxter Police Department reported.

Frederick was transported by North Memorial Health Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated for injuries.
