2-vehicle crash sends Brainerd motorcyclist to hospital

NEW LONDON — A Brainerd motorcyclist was injured in a crash around 10:54 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, near New London in Kandiyohi County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the motorcyclist, Loni D. Ledoux, 70, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Carris Health-Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

According to the state patrol report, a Toyota RAV4, driven by Lucy V. Hoppe, 61, of Eden Valley, was traveling west on Highway 23 and stopped to turn southbound onto County Highway 2. The 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Ledoux, was also traveling west on Highway 23 and collided with the Toyota at the intersection in Roseville Township.

The state patrol reported Ledoux was wearing a helmet.

Hoppe was not injured. She was wearing a seat belt.
