I believe what makes me the best candidate for mayor is that I come to this position with a fresh perspective. I can say 'No one owes me any favors and I don't owe anybody any favors.' Why are the you the best candidate for the job? "Let's continue improving the city/citizen relationship for our residents. Year-round, seasonal, weekend, all need a voice. In four years as councilman we've made great strides! Two letters of commendation from the DNR. Crosslake Planning/Zoning/Crow Wing County partnership has 99.5 percent user approval rates versus 70 percent four years ago. And it costs less! Crow Wing won a national award for work with Crosslake. New management at Crosslake Communications doubled the value of our company. We have a $5 million road improvement plan ahead. Let's get it right. We know what doesn't work. Let's not go backwards."

Public office experience: Chairman of Crosslake Public Works Commission.

Why are the you the best candidate for the job? "I have been visiting friend in Crosslake for more than 40 years, and for the last six have been a resident. During that time Crosslake has grown from a sleepy hamlet with shores studded with cottages, to lakes wrapped with year-round homes. I hope to bring a fresh perspective to the council with an eye to meet the future of an ever growing city.

I will listen, be open-minded, and deal with issues fairly with fiscal responsibility as the most important guiding principle."
