This was the first year the pageant was at The Journey North. Directors Bill Musel and Vicki Randall were thrilled with the venue and hospitality given to them, their staff and contestants, according to the news release.
“They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed at their church,” stated Randall.
Also new this year was the contestants’ Social Impact Statement in which each contestant shared their platform work. The audience was given insight into the reasons each contestant chose their particular platform and what their goals would be if chosen to represent the area throughout the upcoming year.
Winning queens will go on to represent the area at the 2020 Minnesota United States Pageant planned for March 14, 2020, in Brainerd.
