AITKIN — Glacial Lakes Brewers, host of the annual Harvest Moon Brew Fest in Aitkin, canceled this year’s event scheduled for Sept. 12.
The health and safety of craft brew fans, brewery staff, vendors and event volunteers remain a top priority, organizers stated in a news release.
“We believe this decision is the responsible action to take to keep our community safe,” the release stated.
In support of breweries that have been a vital part of the Harvest Moon Brew Fest in the past, Glacial Lakes Brewers is purchasing gift cards from the following: Beaver Island Brewing Co. from St. Cloud, Big Axe Brewing Co. from Nisswa, Block North Brew Pub from Aitkin, Cuyuna Brewing Co. from Crosby, Jack Pine Brewery from Baxter, Klockow Brewing Co. from Grand Rapids, Moose Lake Brewing Co. from Moose Lake, Roundhouse Brewery from Brainerd, Sapsucker Farms Yellow Belly Cider from Mora, Surly Brewing Co. from Minneapolis, and 14 Lakes Craft Brewing Co. from Crosslake.
The gift cards will be given away at a future Glacial Lakes Brewers’ event.
