FERGUS FALLS - Three people were injured Monday evening, July 4, when a car and a motorcycle collided on Highway 59 in Otter Tail County, according to a report released by the Minnesota State Patrol.
The incident happened about 7:43 p.m. when a car that was northbound on Highway 59 slowed to nearly a stop and and made a left turn, the State Patrol said.
A motorcycle that was southbound on Highway 59 struck the side of the car, throwing both riders off the bike.
The driver of the motorcycle, Troy J. Drewes, 44, and a passenger on the bike, Brenda M. Becker, 46, both of Farwell, Minn., suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the car, Edward D. Schenatzki, 85, of Pelican Rapids, also suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the State Patrol.
