Three people suffered injuries in a Mille Lacs County crash on snowy and icy roads Thursday, Dec. 16.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 17-year-old Gabriella Nicole Odneal of Garrison was driving south on Highway 169 in South Harbor Township at 8:14 a.m. Thursday when her Chevrolet Trailblazer rear-ended a Ford Escape driven by 44-year-old Aura Marie of Onamia. Odneal’s vehicle then crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with another Ford Escape driven by 47-year-old Barbely Rose Laws of Isle.

Gabriella Odneal and her 12-year-old passenger Landon William Odneal suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Gabriella, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, while Landon, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the state patrol, was transported to Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia.

Laws, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, Onamia Police Department and Onamia Fire Department assisted at the scene.
