A Brainerd woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash Monday, April 26, on Highway 210 northeast of Brainerd.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported at 5:20 p.m., 44-year-old Sara Vacinek came to a stop in her 2015 Toyota Sienna in the westbound lane of Highway 210 to make a left turn onto White Pine Drive in Brainerd. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 50-year-old Jerry Toeben of Sartell struck Vacinek from behind, causing her Toyota to go into the eastbound lane and strike a 2009 Honda Civic driven by 24-year-old Gabriel Smith of Deerwood. All vehicles came to rest in the traffic lanes, which were reportedly wet at the time of the crash.

Vacinek was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, according to the state patrol.

Neither Toeben nor Smith were injured. Toeben was wearing a seat belt, and Smith was not, according to the state patrol.
