Add another to the list of anglers who have fallen through the ice in the past couple of days.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday of a person who fell through the ice on Hubert Lake, east of Nisswa. It was reported Robert Carlson, 59 Brainerd, was fishing on the lake and fell through the ice. Nisswa Fire Department personnel were able to rescue the fisherman and North Memorial Ambulance transported him to the hospital.
The sheriff's office was also assisted by the Nisswa Police Department.
This is the second rescue of fisherman who have fallen through the ice the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office has been called to in the past two days. A man fell through the ice Monday on Gladstone Lake, also near Nisswa. The Cass County Sheriff's Office also responded to an ice rescue Monday on Big Portage Lake in rural Hackensack.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is advising everyone that the ice should be considered unsafe for all traffic, including those on foot.
