CAMP RIPLEY-Veterans of all branches are gathering at Camp Ripley Thursday to learn more about opportunities and benefits in central Minnesota.

The event is 8:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Camp Ripley Hangar Conference Center, 15000 Highway 115, Little Falls.

The post commander will address the group and welcome guests. Presentations on updates and changes in military benefits, federal retiree benefits, state military cemetery burial benefits, retiree military benefits identification cards, medical/dental, Yellow Ribbon in Morrison County, family assistance and the local veteran county service officer. There will be a chance for one-on-one questions as well.

The event is coordinated by volunteers Tony Wenzel, retired noncommissioned officer, and Kristina VonBerge, retired officer.

The event is free. There is a cost of $6.75 for breakfast, which is optional.
